Helms Career Education (HCE) seeks a project coordinator to provide support information and support to potential students navigating the application, decision and enrollment process as well as the oversight and management of student records and course related materials.  The Project Coordinator is a critical member of the staff and reports directly to the Senior Program Manager.  

Position responsibilities include:

  • Managing student inquiries and application flow, ensuring that communication with potential students is tracked and input into software / database for follow up.
  • Interviewing and assisting students with course offerings and selection.
  • Ensuring selected students complete application process and any other necessary paperwork.
  • Coordinating process for billing /payment for program/ tuition costs prior to class start.
  • Providing students all  proper materials and supplies prior to the commencement of each class.
  • Running accurate reports of contacts and prospective students by compiling and inputting pertinent information into system database.
  • Documenting and reporting any student or instructor incidents to Senior Program Manager immediately.
  • Meeting enrollment expectations through local recruitment efforts as well as providing feedback regarding potential improvements to grow the student recruitment and retention ratio.
  • Tracking student outcomes through follow-up communication to provide accurate and up-to-date information as required by funders.
  • Partnering with GSS staff to develop clearly defined career pathways that align with HCE program completer employment opportunities.
  • Acting as liaison for HCE instructors in the Middle Georgia region.
  • Working with other Goodwill staff and departments to identify, drive and excite potential new students for Helms Career Education and Helms College programs.

Qualifications

EDUCATION: Associates degree preferred. Experience may be considered in lieu of education at discretion of GIMG & CSRA.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Affinity for Goodwill mission.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and database systems.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication agility with ability to flex to different audiences.
  • Ability to interact in positive, motivational and supportive manner, providing guidance to job seekers with very diverse background.
  • Able to work flexible hours.
  • Position requires visiting multiple locations. A valid driver’s license and clean MVR is required for driving between sites.
