Lead and execute the annual $150,000 giving campaign to include both individual and institutional funding sources and various events throughout the year.  Specific activities include but are not limited to:

  • Plan and execute an annual in-person fundraising event, including marketing and communications to promote ticket sales through various media channels, gathering and distributing items for the silent auction, negotiating contracts for venue, food/beverage, and entertainment, liaising with the Board of Directors to promote the event, etc.
  • Plan and execute annual Giving Tuesday campaign, with specific funding areas of focus and funding levels, to be informed by annual strategic review; build campaign and funding level/descriptors on designated fundraising platform to encourage streamlined online giving
  • Manage annual College Room Giving each spring, for both new and existing College Room donors.  Support the College Room Signing Day each summer, including managing the in-person and/or virtual donor experience at this event
  • Organize annual donor acknowledgment event, in an effort to maximize in-person touchpoints especially among top-tier donors
  • Lead an annual review of giving campaign activities to determine success and assess goal progress; use this to inform improvements and changes for the next fiscal year

Lead all institution giving efforts, including but not limited to:

  • Manage all active grants including milestones and reporting requirements
  • Seek out and apply to external grant opportunities to secure additional outside funding
  • Support capital campaign efforts for current and future planned campuses
  • Serve as the Project Director for federal Charter School Program expansion grant

Maintain Salesforce database of all existing individual and institution donors

Maintain the donor acknowledgment wall at the East Point campus and distribute Phoenix Giving magnets directly to donors at the end of each fiscal year.

Track donor participation levels including school affiliation (e.g., staff member, Board member, Phoenix Family network member), giving levels, repeat donor status, etc. and report insights annually to Board of Directors and use to inform future strategy

Develop and distribute all communications and social media posts for current and prospective donors primarily using the Mailchimp platform, including but not limited to: ​

  • Author all donor acknowledgments following each gift, including hand-written personalized thank you letters for large gifts to top-tier donors
  • Develop quarterly college room newsletters and distribute to all named college room donors
  • Prepare periodic fundraising update reports for the Board of Directors, including progress toward annual giving campaign goal, Board member giving participation, donor insights, etc.
  • Design event invitations, social media posts, donor materials, prospective funder materials, promotional videos, etc. on an as-needed basis
  • Develop and maintain giving content for Resurgence Hall website
  • Liaise with staff members to develop scholar-authored content as needed for top-tier donor

Prior Experience. At least 5 years prior experience in fundraising/development capacity at a non-profit organization preferably in an educational setting.  Demonstrated ability to lead successful fundraising campaigns and manage multiple grant revenue streams.  Experience managing federal grants is preferred.
