Summary:   GCN is seeking executive search consultants to work in our consulting practice with nonprofit organizations.  Individuals must have prior nonprofit experience and the ability to work with a senior consultant to conduct a search for executive level positions in nonprofit organizations and the ability to work with boards of directors and executive leaders throughout the project. They must have a proven track of identifying and recruiting a diverse pool of prospective candidates using a variety of channels they identify with the client. Must have strong communication skills, project management and ability to screen individuals to fit various leadership profiles.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Partner with clients to get a clear view on their strategic,  financial and hiring objectives
  • Devise and carry out a targeted candidate search
  • Map role criteria, define position description and document specifications
  • Track and identify prospective candidates using a variety of channels
  • Research and develop recruiting leads
  • Assess candidates to ensure qualification match, cultural fit and compatibility
  • Conduct confidential interviews, follow-up references and check credits
  • Present shortlisted candidates and provide detailed profile summaries
  • Offer guidance and facilitate the negotiation process through to its completion
  • Follow up with clients and assist with the candidate’s transition and onboarding process
  • Network and build long-lasting client relationships

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in talent acquisition or executive recruiting
  • Strong knowledge of nonprofits
  • Ability to facilitate, communicate and work with diverse groups of people
  • Proven ability to complete projects on time and within projected budget
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven working experience in recruiting
  • Deep understanding of recruitment processes
  • Strong knowledge of candidate sourcing tools and candidate selection methods
  • Business acumen and market insight
  • Effective negotiation, influencing and communication skills
  • Integrity and confidentiality
  • BS degree in Human Resources, related field or SHRM certification preferred
