The Women’s Equality Center provides strategic communications and campaign support to the reproductive health, rights, and justice field at all levels, developing long-term, big-picture messaging frameworks around emerging issues and complementing and strengthening the work of organizations in Latin America and the Caribbean via grants, integrated policy and communications campaigns, and rapid-response operations.

Reporting to the Director of Strategy & Communications, the Communications Manager will manage the organization's key contacts and relationships with media consultants and individual journalists throughout the Americas. This is a great opportunity for someone who is proactive, creative and has a deep understanding of how to use press to shape narratives and help sway public opinion. The Communications Manager will need to be bilingual, and fluently speak, write, and read in Spanish and English.
Essential Responsibilities and Activities:
- Contribute to overall communications strategies and tactics - with a focus on shaping strong narratives and pitching stories to reporters and journalists that further WEC’s mission and work.
The successful candidate must have the following skills and qualities:
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in communications work aimed at pushing policy, political, or cultural progress.
Salary + Benefits:
The salary range for this position is between $70,000 to $79,199, based upon years of experience and education.
Our generous benefit package includes:
- 4 weeks paid vacation and the week between Christmas and New Year off,
