Are you passionate about the power of learning through play? We are the Children’s Museum of Atlanta, a  nonprofit 501(c)(3), and are the only educational venue of its kind in  Atlanta. Through community outreach initiatives, educational programs,  and exhibits designed for children ages 0–8, the Museum strives to spark  every child’s imagination, sense of discovery and learning through the  power of play.  We are seeking a Development Associate to join our Strategic Advancement and Marketing Department. 25 hours/week, $13.50/hour

This part time position will assist the Asst. Director of Strategic Advancement in executing the annual fundraising plan and achieving fundraising goals for both individual giving and development special events by assisting with identification, cultivation, and maintaining strong relationships with individual donors.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with donor stewardship
  • Assists with administration, coordination, and execution of assigned events
  • Assist with planning, coordination and follow-up for meetings as assigned
  • Process donation pledges and payments and generates gift acknowledgements for the department
  • Compiles database queries and generates weekly and ad hoc reports
  • Maintains expense budget, invoice tracking, submits credit card expenses and check requests
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Strong Technical Skills: Knowledge of CRM systems, proficient in Microsoft office suite, ability to learn new software, experience with gift entry procedures and database management experience preferred
