JOB DESCRIPTION: Fiscal Manager
The Center for Black Women’s Wellness (CBWW) is a community-based nonprofit organization that is committed to enhancing the health and well-being of Black women. The organization provides several comprehensive programs that are designed to educate, empower and inspire participants to make positive changes in their lives and the lives of their families. Its core services are aimed at eliminating health inequities across a range of health areas and include low cost and no cost healthcare (women's health, primary care and mental health); health education to improve health outcomes and healthy behaviors; prenatal home visiting for pregnant women and their infants to improve maternal and infant health; and financial literacy and micro-business training to improve women's economic wellbeing.
POSITION OVERVIEW
Project CARES (COVID vaccine Access, Response and Education and Support) is a new initiative of CBWW which seeks to increase knowledge, confidence and access to COVID and influenza vaccination among Blacks in Metropolitan Atlanta. Reporting to the Wellness Program Manager, the Project CARES Program Coordinator is responsible for conducting outreach and mobile vaccine events, delivering and disseminating accurate and culturally appropriate vaccine information, partnership development and stakeholder engagement, and promoting available healthcare services and other programs offered by CBWW to the community.
*Note: This is a 12-month, grant funded position with potential for growth. Due to COVID-19, this role will be a combination of in-person and remote.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Facilitate training of frontline staff and other influential messengers to equip them to have effective vaccine conversations and increase vaccine confidence
- Identify, develop or adapt culturally appropriate vaccine materials toshare through social media campaigns
- Market the availability of flu vaccines and promote preventive healthcare and other programs offered by CBWW to the community.
- Market the project to stakeholders and assist in cultivating new partnerships which benefit the community and help deliver vaccines where people seek care.
- Attend community events to promote the program and broaden awareness of vaccines and healthcare services offered by CBWW
- Collaborate with outreach staff and partner agencies to conduct innovative outreach and mobile COVID vaccine events
- Track program data, submit monthly grant reporting, and attend grantee meetings with Project Manager
- Collaborate with other staff, determining best approaches for achieving project objectives in accordance with client/community needs, grant requirements, and agency resources
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, or related field
- Minimum of two(2) years experience in health education, community outreach, or other related fields
- Strong interpersonal skills. Candidate must have comfort attending outreach events and delivering health education to diverse audiences
- Flexible schedule, as some evening and Saturday events will be required
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to create and deliver presentations
