Job Details
The YWCA of Greater Atlanta has been a voice for change to eliminate racism and empower women in Georgia for over 100 years. The YWCA works to advance public policy solutions to improve the health and safety and the economic empowerment of women and girls in Georgia, through advocating for a multi-issue policy agenda, training women in civic engagement, building collaborative partnerships, and conducting issue education. The YWCA’s signature advocacy program is the Georgia Women’s Policy Institute (GWPI). In this innovative public policy training program, women from diverse backgrounds are selected to participate in a year-long Institute to learn how to develop and support state-level policy proposals that impact the lives of women and girls in Georgia.

YWCA IS ON A MISSION
Eliminate racism, empower women, and promote peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.
YWCA of Greater Atlanta, a 501 (c) charitable organization, is a local chapter of the national organization, YWCA USA, and has been a voice for change for women and families in Georgia since its founding at Spelman College in 1902. We address the needs of women and girls at multiple levels, providing direct services and programs in tandem with public policy analysis. Our services and programs focus on three key areas: Advocacy & Social Justice, Education & Economic Empowerment, and Health & Safety for Women and Girls.
