Executive Director

Jericho Partnership, a public charity founded in 2005 as a partnership of congregations, foundations, and ministry organizations currently seeks an Executive Director.  Jericho exists to meet the academic, physical, social & emotional, and spiritual needs of Danbury's at-risk youth, and by extension their families for God's glory.  Our key ministries include Christ-centered 1:1 and small-group mentoring and academic support programs.  Jericho combats food insecurity among Danbury's most vulnerable communities through a thriving food pantry, addresses students' social needs through life preparedness workshops, and also provides access to high-quality pediatric healthcare through its ministry partner, Samaritan Health Center.  Currently, we seek a seasoned professional to lead the partnership in the following manner:  as a lead executive responsible for implementing the current strategic plan and ensuring effective functioning of all ministry operations; as a financial officer leading the development process of and managing the budget; as a development officer working in conjunction with specific foundations to cultivate, maintain, and advance all major gift partners, as well as maintain and grow relationships with current and new grant-makers.  Qualifications:  A personal relationship with Jesus Christ; a person of integrity in all matters; a desire to work in urban ministry in an inner-city environment; must be a leader with proven ability to galvanize, motivate, encourage, support, and where necessary correct/coach staff team; Master's degree in social sciences, nonprofit management, or Christian ministry combined with 10+ years' experience demonstrating increased responsibility.  Fluency in Spanish required, and a working knowledge of Portuguese is very helpful.
