Mission: The Hudson School provides intellectually inquisitive students in grades 5-12 with a rigorous and relevant college-preparatory education that inspires independent thinking and intellectual risk-taking. Overview:
This mission-aligned, collaborative position integrates stewardship, fundraising, and admission. It is envisioned to appreciate the value of families and students from the first inquiry of a prospective family to the planned gift of a proud alum with a goal to build a strong culture of sustainable engagement.
This is a full-time, 12-month position that begins on August 1, 2020, and sometimes requires evening and weekend responsibilities. The Advancement Associate reports to the Director of Advancement. This position has the possibility of working from home several days per week.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintain advancement and admissions databases
- Support Communications Associate in comprehensive messaging, via multiple media, on behalf of the School
- Coordinate event planning for advancement and admissions, including open houses and external admissions activity
- Assist in scheduling prospective student/family visits
- Increase focus on connections to alumni including alumni newsletters and other outreach and events
- Execute any duties as assigned by the Director of Advancement
A successful candidate will possess the following characteristics and experiences:
- Experience with CRM database systems and Google Suite
- Strong technology and database management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication style
- A collaborative, collegial, and creative nature with energy and drive
- Appreciation of what is needed to support a diverse school community
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
