The mission of Mary Hall Freedom Village, Inc. (MHFV) is to empower women, children, veterans, and families to end the cycle of homelessness, addiction, and poverty.

Headquartered in beautiful Sandy Springs, GA. near the Chattahoochee River, and with seven facilities across metro Atlanta, Mary Hall Freedom Village has been transforming lives of clients in need for the last 25 years. It was on June 1, 1996, the founder, Lucy Hall opened the doors to her first 2 clients. Here, 25 years later Mary Hall Freedom Village is serving around 250 participants and 80 children across 7 programs. MHFV has transformed the lives of over 15,000 individuals, their families, and the community at large. We strive to continue breaking the cycle of homelessness, addiction, mental illness, and poverty.

We are seeking a Grant Manager to join our Development team at our Headquarters in Sandy Springs. In this role, you will have the opportunity to positively impact the organization and the services we strive to offer. Your job will be to assist in the preparation, writing, and submission of new grants in addition to providing leadership and oversight to ensure the seamless, integrated coordination among departments at Mary Hall Freedom Village, Inc. (MHFV) for the life cycle of grants and contracts, from project development through award implementation, reporting, and invoicing. This job offers the exciting opportunity to help women in recovery and an opportunity for growth within the non-profit field.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead grant preparation and necessary data collection.
  • Oversee the Grant Development team
  • Research grant deadlines and new grant possibilities.
  • Track incoming grants and work with other departments to meet deadlines.
  • Manages donor base, data entry, and booking of gifts in organization’s donor database, assuring accuracy and confidentiality of all donor records and revenue received.
  • Assist in the preparation of gifts reports and correspondence.
  • Takes lead in organizing fundraising events.
  • Responds to internal and external requests for gifts reports.
  • Maintains pledge records and processes timely pledge reminder letters to donors.
  • Works closely with vendors on coordinating direct mailings.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, which could include some evenings for events.

 

Qualifications: Candidates must be able to pass a fingerprinting background check and drug test. They must also have a good 3- year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR). Must have a reliable vehicle and a valid Georgia driver’s license for business-related travel as needed.

Education and/or Experience: BA/BS degree and a minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible fund-raising practice with experience in cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of corporations and foundations or a combination of education and experience. Self-motivated and capable of achieving goals with limited supervision. Familiarity with substance abuse programs, housing, employment, human services, and/or community development programs is preferred. One to Two (1-2) years of management experience preferred.

Computer Skills: To perform this role successfully, you will need knowledge of, and be moderately skilled using the Microsoft Office Suite.
