The mission of Mary Hall Freedom Village, Inc. (MHFV) is to empower women, children, veterans, and families to end the cycle of homelessness, addiction, and poverty.

Headquartered in beautiful Sandy Springs, GA. near the Chattahoochee River, and with seven facilities across metro Atlanta, Mary Hall Freedom Village has been transforming lives of clients in need for the last 25 years. It was on June 1, 1996, the founder, Lucy Hall opened the doors to her first 2 clients. Here, 25 years later Mary Hall Freedom Village is serving around 250 participants and 80 children across 7 programs. MHFV has transformed the lives of over 15,000 individuals, their families, and the community at large. We strive to continue breaking the cycle of homelessness, addiction, mental illness, and poverty.

We are seeking to fill several positions for Mental Health Assistants at our participant housing complex in Sandy Springs. This is a great entry level position to gain exposure and experience in the social services field. In this role, you will have the opportunity to positively impact the participants we provide housing services to. Your job will be to provide support services and create a comfortable, caring environment for women and women with children entering the Mary Hall Freedom Village programs. This job offers the exciting opportunity to help women in recovery and an opportunity for growth within the recovery field. Salary is competitive.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and document general resident activity to observe and report any participant encounters, incidents, progress, and concerns while on shift.
  • Providing transportation services as needed in residential vehicles.
  • Daily electronic communications between shifts and submitting work orders and other administrative documentation to your supervisor.
  • Assisting incoming participants in settling into their living quarters and conducting a search of baggage and personal belongings.
  • Maintaining residential apartments for participants by decorating and ensuring appliances, furniture, and fixtures are all working and are in clean and safe condition.
  • Other duties as required within the scope of the position.

Availability: First Shift (7 am - 4 pm) and Second Shift (3 pm - 12 am/midnight)

Qualifications: Candidates must be able to pass a fingerprinting background check and drug test. They must also have a good 3- year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and a valid drivers license.

Education and/or Experience: A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED, with 1-3 years of related work experience. Working knowledge of CARES or CPS preferred. Experience driving 15 passenger van preferred.

Computer Skills: To perform this role successfully, you will need knowledge of, and be moderately skilled using the Microsoft Office Suite.
