Job Details

JOIN OUR TEAM!  The Georgia Green Industry Association is the state trade association for ornamental horticulture businesses.  We support our members and our industry through advocacy efforts, educational and networking opportunities, and timely,   relevant industry updates. 

Primary Responsibilities:

· Manage administration & provide superior customer service for GGIA members and customers.

· Serve as the primary point of contact for incoming telephone calls.

· Manage and maintain all aspects of association membership records & membership database.

· Assist the executive director with administration, events, logistics, &   coordination as needed.

· Draft event & program flyers, social media posts & content, & newsletters in collaboration & under the supervision of the Executive Director. 

· Serve as the staff liaison to the GGIA committees as needed.

· Provide office & administrative back-end support, meetings notes, summaries & reporting.  

· Assist in coordinating the development, management & execution of association special events, including sponsorship sales, promotion, registration,  program development, tabletop displays, meal planning, & onsite logistics. 

· Prepare material for the meeting packets for the board of directors and other committees.

· Update marketing & communications as needed, including calendars and websites. 

· Other duties as assigned

Qualifications: 

· Minimum, high school diploma or equivalent, preferred bachelor’s degree (BA, BS) in a related field, or relevant work experience.  

· Strives for moral excellence in both professional & personal interactions

· Analytical acumen, team player with a can-do attitude

· Highly organized, with a knack for event planning and logistics.

· Creative & passionate about advocacy & increased professionalism for Georgia’s horticulture industry.

· Ability to develop relationships, charismatic with exceptional interpersonal, communication & conflict-resolution skills

· Has an open mindset towards, embraces, & continuously initiates & implements change

· Ability to work independently, be flexible, & manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision

· Computer proficiency in MS Office, social media platforms & Zoom with a willingness to learn other related programs.

· Candidates must be open to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends. 

· Ability to stand for long periods of time, moderate/heavy lifting, and commute.

· Must have access to reliable internet, a driver's license & a dependable, insured vehicle
