Victor's Vision is a non-profit organization focused on providing students living in poverty in Chulucanas, Peru with the academic, nutritional, and social-emotional resources they need to graduate from secondary school.   This will allow the students to pursue their dreams through education. As more and more of our students fulfill this mission, we are looking for a highly skilled Executive Director that can lead us through our next phase of growth. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will have overall strategic and operational responsibility for Victor Vision’s staff, programs, expansion and execution of mission. He/she will work closely with the local team in Peru and U.S.-based staff to execute the organization’s strategic plan for growth. 

 

 

Responsibilities

 

Growth and Strategy

 

  • Execute organization’s strategic plan, design market expansion plan and new program offerings

     

    Lead the development of annual program, organizational, and financial plans in alignment with the Board of Directors and staff. 

     

 

Fundraising

 

  • Expand fundraising activities to support existing program operations and expansion. 

     

    Accelerate grant writing strategy including the research, writing, and review of grant proposals.

     

    Manage and grow customer relationships with individual donors and partner organizations, including setting up and managing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database.

     

 

Leadership & Operations Management

 

  • Collaborate with In-Country Program Director to ensure local programming excellence and rigorous program evaluation

     

    Lead the annual budgeting process for Board approval and manage disbursements.

     

    Manage, coach, and develop network of staff and volunteers. Lead hiring processes.

     

 

Communications and Reporting

 

  • Enhance all aspects of communications--from web and social media presence to external relations, with the goal of building an even stronger brand

     

    Build out existing data tracking systems to monitor both short and long-term impact of Victor’s Vision programming. Liaise with in-country staff to ensure accurate and timely reporting of data.

     

    Report on quarterly program development, performance, and updates to the Board of Directors. 

     

    Complete annual tax documentation to maintain 501(c)3 status with the US Government.

     

 

 

 Qualifications:

 

The Executive Director will be thoroughly committed to Victor’s Vision’s mission and have proven leadership, fundraising and relationship management experience. 

 

 

Specific requirements include:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree

     

    Minimum 3 years non-profit programming experience

     

    2+ years significant (+$100K) fundraising experience, with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders

     

    Fluent in Spanish;

     

    1+ years of management experience; ability to drive a team towards desired results;

     

    Entrepreneurial and innovative spirit; eagerness to turn big ideas into reality

     

    Commitment to collaboration with diverse groups of people in multiple locations

     

    Strong communication skills

     

    Clear demonstration of cultural competence and cultural sensitivity

     

    Self-directed with a strong sense of initiative and ability to make decisions

     

    Organized and detail-oriented

     

    Mission driven with strong commitment to the belief that all students can achieve their dreams through education

     

    Experience working in a team environment as well as independently.
