We are looking for a dynamic and independent professional who is dedicated to our mission to promote awareness, education, prevention, and treatment of perinatal mental health issues affecting mothers, their families, and support systems in all areas of Georgia. The Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day program activities of PSI-GA and providing administrative support to the Board of Directors. This position is virtual with some in-person training time during onboarding and orientation. PSI-GA is a small but growing non-profit and this position is currently the only staff for the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Board President and Board of Directors to achieve mission-driven goals in line with the strategic plan.
  • Coordinate advertisement, enrollment and implementation of our provider and community-based training programs.
  • Provide support to contract partners in implementing, evaluating and improving our statewide peer support groups for moms and families.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate collection of data pertaining to our programs for grant reporting and evaluative purposes.
  • Provide support to all PSI-GA project committees, including but not limited to: Peer Support Groups, Black Maternal Mental Health Summit, Climb Out of the Darkness, and Provider Trainings.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the Statewide Task Force on Maternal Mental Health.
  • Manage PSI-GA social media platforms and ensure they are updated on a regular basis.
  • Supervise and support PSI-GA graduate-level interns and assistants during academic semesters.
  • Ensure timely organizational response to email, social media requests, media requests, legal requests and mail.
  • Create and maintain organizational systems on behalf of the organization to keep all files updated and accessible.
  • Support the Treasurer and Executive Committee in preparing financial reports and processing invoices, accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Dedication to improving maternal mental health outcomes in Georgia.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Prior administrative experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Google Drive and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Dedication to creating and sustaining an inclusive and supportive team environment.
  • Ability to generate trusting and lasting relationships with vendors and community partners.
  • Technologically savvy with an ability to seamlessly plan and facilitate online meetings.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit; able to start and implement projects with little direction.
  • Prior experience collecting data and creating reports.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior staff or intern supervision.
  • Familiarity with grant writing and reporting.
  • Non-profit management training or experience.
  • Experience administering state or federal contracts.
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks accounting software.

Virtual Workplace: The ideal candidate is able to work efficiently and proactively from home. Our preference is for the Program Coordinator to reside in Georgia as future activities may include in-person meetings and events, pending the status of COVID-19.

Independent Contractor: For tax purposes, this is an Independent Contractor position.

To Apply: Please use this form to submit your current resume and a cover letter outlining your specific interest in the position by June 18, 2021: https://forms.gle/Ah4A7VBc9shCZrTF7.

Please, no phone calls. The position will remain open until filled. Due to the volume of applications, we will not be able to respond to every applicant. PSI-GA is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all team members.

Reports to: Board President

Classification: Full-Time, Independent Contractor

Salary Range: $45,000 - $60,000

Tips for Submitting a Strong Application:

  • Submit your materials in PDF format. That way, your formatting will remain consistent. Word documents open differently on different computer systems.
  • Read your resume and cover letter outloud to yourself. You will catch more spelling and grammar errors by taking the time to do this.
  • Be sure your cover letter is about why you want the position, your unique fit for the role, and why you care about the mission of the organization and not just a repeat of your resume.

Thank you for your interest in working with us!
