Program Coordinator

Department: Women’s Academy

Reports to: Director of Institute and Community Services

Hours: 40 hours per week, including occasional evenings and weekends

Location: Women’s Academy suite at The Forrest Hill Academy; other metro Atlanta Wellspring Living locations as needed

Position Summary: The Program Coordinator provides leadership, oversight, and supervision of the staff, volunteers, participants, and facilities for the Women’s Academy.  This position is responsible for high quality program design, implementation, and results to meet organizational goals and individual participant goals, so that participants may benefit from all services provided including education, career readiness, therapy, and life skills. 

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):                                                                                                                


  • Actively develop a healthy, trusting, cohesive team that works together well to accomplish the mission of the program
  • Provide reliable, effective leadership and management for program staff, including weekly staff meetings, regular evaluations, assessment and coordination of training needs
  • Regularly interact with program participants, providing strength-based role modeling, direction, and decision-making
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with all stakeholders
  • Work with staff, volunteers, and partners to ensure effective case management through individual service plans and therapeutic best practices, contributing expertise as a human service professional, and addressing any coverage needs
  • Support Director to maintain program budget compliance and oversee program calendar
  • Ensure that all policies and procedures are routinely followed, including but not limited to record-keeping, intake procedures, health and safety, clinical services, educational plans and progress, and emergency preparedness
  • Represent Wellspring Living in a positive and engaging way, including tours, development and fundraising activities, speaking opportunities, events, and Institute trainings

Program Structure

  • Supervise all program operations under the guidance of the Director, collaborating on programming, performance, and industry compliance
  • Define, implement, evaluate, and refine program curriculum, policies, and procedures; revise and implement change management as needed
  • Ensure accurate data is collected and reported on a regular basis, including appropriate and timely documentation in the Electronic Health Records (EHR) system
  • Utilize the strength-based approach in providing structure for the program
  • Provide culturally competent care to referred individuals and program participants without regard to race, gender, ethnicity, sexuality, religious or spiritual beliefs

Professional Qualifications:       

  • Administrative, organizational, and computer skills including use of email and Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Documentation of references (at least two professional and one personal) that attest to the person’s capability of performing the duties of the position and to the person’s suitability of working with or around vulnerable populations
  • Master’s Degree or higher level of post-graduate education in a related field, preferably including a related professional Georgia license such as LMSW, LCSW, LPC, or LMFT
  • Minimum five years of experience in the field of social or human services, including case management and/or clinical experience with adult victims of complex trauma
  • Minimum two years of management experience with direct supervision of multiple staff

Position Requirements:                

  • Moderate local travel required related to program and training needs, as well as occasional travel beyond the metro Atlanta area
  • Ability to lift objects up to 25 pounds and work for long periods at a computer
  • Satisfactory criminal history background check
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record
