The Marketing Coordinator will coordinate the process of updating, enhancing, expanding, and implementing marketing plans that will build organizational and community capacity in Region 1 to provide disaster services to low income and vulnerable residents. The VISTA will develop and execute marketing strategies and creative campaigns. Brainstorm new, creative approaches for marketing campaigns and social media influence. Assist with the production of publications, promotional and other printed materials (including writing press releases, event material, impact reports, etc.). Work with staff to evaluate the effectiveness of the materials and the distribution. Coordinate the creation of a disaster communications plan and a modern press kit (with pre-formatted press releases, contact information, etc.) for use before, during, and after a disaster or major emergency. The VISTA must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to effectively multi-task.
