Midtown Assistance Center (MAC) seeks a highly motivated, efficient, and detail-oriented Case Manager to join our team. This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week potential to transition to permanent by January 2022 pending approval of grant funding. MAC’s mission is to prevent hunger and homelessness during periods of crisis. The Case Manager will focus on eviction and utility disconnection prevention by directly working with members of our community who are at risk of eviction and utility disconnection. This position is currently 100% remote (work from home) with the transition to in office work (anticipated Summer 2021).

 

The person in this position will hit the ground running so MAC is looking for a quick-learner who can work independently. Significant usage of HMIS is required so candidates with HMIS experience are strongly preferred.

 

Primary Responsibilities

●     Process requests for assistance by utilizing MAC’s database (Salesforce)

●     Work with those seeking assistance to acquire all required documentation in a timely manner

●     Advocate for tenants with landlords while acquiring required documents from landlords

●     Accurately enter and update information in HMIS or other shared database in a timely manner

●     Attend Monday and Thursday Staff Zoom meeting

 

Minimum Qualifications

●     1+ year experience working in social services case management

●     Completed 60 hours coursework in Bachelor of Social Work program (or similar Human Services degree)

 

Preferred Qualifications

●     Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree

●     Case management utilizing HMIS

●     Strong time management and organizational skills

●     Excellent oral and written communication skills

●     Proven ability to problem solve, make good decisions and use sound judgment

●     Proven ability to work with diverse groups of people

●     Have strong follow-up skills and the ability to respond to clients and coworkers in a timely manner
