•The Executive Board of Georgia Kinship Project Inc. will operate as the governing body of the organization. In Georgia, all nonprofit organizations must have a governing body in order to maintain its tax status as a 501(c)3. •The Board will be comprised of: Board Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, and (3) Members at-Large. The three members at-Large will oversee the organization’s three (3) standing committees. The committees are fundraising, outreach, and education. The Executive Board shall have up to 7, but no fewer than 4 members. •The Board’s Members at-Large are responsible for recruiting volunteers, also known as committee members to serve in its respective program areas.

•Executive Board Members should expect to commit 3-5 hours per month to the organization. The Board may conduct business meetings or other committee meetings based upon the projects planned.

•The Executive Board, Committee Leadership, and Executive Director are expected to make annual financial contributions to the organization. The fee schedule is as follows:

•Executive Board Member: $350 Annually

•Executive Director: $350 Annually

•Committee Leader: $250 Annually

•Committee Member: $100 Annually

•Financial contributions will be divided into fourths and they will be due during the Quarterly Executive Board Meeting.

•Term Limits: All board members shall serve two-year terms and are eligible for re-election for up to two (2) consecutive terms. Terms will begin in 2021 and end December 2023. Biennial terms will continue forward following the year 2023.
