Next Step Ministries is looking for a Program Director in Woodstock, GA. The Program Director is the primary liaison between the Executive Director and program staff, serving to provide effective programing services for the clients.  This includes hiring, supervision and training of staff, program development, community involvement, budgeting, and family interactions.  The Program Director works closely with the E.D. and program staff members, as well as ancillary staff members, to ensure quality and effective programming.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Executive Director with:
  • Program assessment and development
  • Development of annual goals and budget for programs
  • Identifying Program staffing needs
  • Participate in hiring and termination process of Program staff
  • Staff meetings – agenda items and facilitating meeting
  • Supervision of Program staff:
  • Orientation of new staff
  • Daily staffing supervision and scheduling
  • Performance reviews, feedback, and one-on-ones with direct reports
  • Facilitate Leads Planning meeting
  • Community Outreach:
  • Networking group participation
  • Participate in School Transition Fairs, etc
  • Participate in various community marketing events representing Next Step Ministries
  • Staff Training
  • Oversight of online training (Relias) – assignment of courses, staff compliance
  • Assist with developing Staff Training Day content
  • Cross training staff between programs
  • Assessment of staff training needs
  • Available to assist staff as/where needed in client care
  • Perform any job-related duties as needed or directed within the course of a business day
  • Family Involvement (in conjunction with Case Manager)
  • Initial tours and identifying family program need
  • Participate in ISP/annual meetings
  • Available to families for questions/concerns
  • Assist staff with client annual goals as needed

Qualifications:  This position requires, at minimum, a bachelor’s degree in a related field, experience supervising others, demonstrated leadership skills, and 1 year working with the special needs population.  Experience in the non-profit field is preferred.  This position also requires a current CPR and First Aid Training certificate (the certificate may be renewed/acquired within 3 months of employment).  This position requires the ability to transport clients to/from community outing in company vehicles. This position is a full time, 40 hours/week as scheduled.  An essential element of the job is consistent attendance as scheduled.
