At the Lucile Packard Foundation for Children's Health, we are a team of dedicated individuals with a shared commitment to helping kids and families live healthier lives.

We do this by:

• Fundraising for Lucile Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford and the maternal and child health programs of Stanford University School of Medicine.

• Raising awareness of children's health issues.

• Promoting a system of care that improves the lives of children with special health care needs and their families

DESCRIPTION

The Director of Gift Strategy, Planning, and Implementation is a newly created position designed to work in two critical phases of the fundraising lifecycle - advance planning for new gift opportunities and the successful implementation of donations to achieve the vision of our donors, faculty, and staff. In close partnership with the Foundation's field fundraising teams and colleagues at Stanford University School of Medicine and Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford, this individual will identify, develop, and vet fundraising opportunities with an eye toward impact, long-term growth, and sustainability. In certain cases, this will require an ability to translate big picture program visions into business plans that can link to clear, specific gift opportunities. Finally, this position will monitor, track, and communicate next steps on gifts received to ensure the funds received by the Foundation are having the maximum impact as intended by the donor.

A successful Director will be adept at building relationships and communicating effectively with a diverse group of partners, creating structure around gray areas, translating big ideas into tactical plans, and tracking details through to resolution.
