Job title: Deputy Director, Performance and Compliance
Reports to: Chief Operating Officer


Job Purpose
Reporting to and under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Deputy Director, Performance and Compliance guides performance, evaluation and compliance programs at Partners for HOME (PfH). The Director will develop data and measurement systems that effectively evaluate programs and ensure compliance across programs. The Deputy Director guides a team of Project Managers who provide general oversight and management, coordination and execution of tasks within designated work verticals.


Responsibilities
This position is ideal for an analytical, results-oriented leader who can undertake a variety of performance, measurement and project management tasks. As the Director, you will:

  • Oversee Performance and Compliance programs for Partners for HOME
  • Develop, maintain and evaluate written policies, procedures and plans related to performance and compliance
  • Develop and maintain a performance measurement plan and reporting calendar to ensure timely data collection, aggregation, analysis and reporting of established performance measures related to key operational processes and outcomes
  • Manage and lead staff through the Plan-Do-Study-Act cycle and report outcomes
  • Develop performance dashboards to ensure accuracy and accessibility by providers
  • Implement root cause analyses and make recommendations to improve performance
  • Lead external and internal compliance audits and performance metrics and ensure corrective action plans are documented and effectively implemented
  • Reviews incident reports and conducts follow up investigations as warranted
  • Develop performance measures and benchmarks and oversee performance monitoring
  • Attend meetings for Partners for HOME, Atlanta Continuum of Care and the City of Atlanta to provide accurate reports and dashboards on the performance of relevant projects
  • Develop relationships and provide exceptional customer service to the Atlanta Continuum of Care partners, ensuring a transparent system is in place to measure outcomes and deliver results
  • Implement and complete other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

  • Comfortable working on-site with homeless and low-income populations
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting data to enhance program performance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills toward internal and external audiences
  • Strong organization and project management skills with ability to lead projects to completion and meet competing deadlines
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and consistently meet expectations on tight deadlines, while managing a variety of tasks and relationships
  • Supervisory experience of at least 3 direct reports
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and comfort in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
  • High energy and a passion for ending homelessness
  • High emotional intelligence with the ability to perceive and understand people’s motivations
  • High level of autonomy with work and ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Highly industrious with a strong work ethic; sense of urgency/impatience for action
  • Integrity and humility that encourages and inspires constituents; strong sense of judgment

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams; SmartSheets; Homeless Management Information System (HMIS)/ClientTrack

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s Degree preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in homeless services or a related field

While not a direct service provider, Partners for HOME is a nonprofit organization authorized by the Atlanta CoC and City of Atlanta to provide homeless response; fundraising and grantmaking; and performance and compliance management services to the local homeless ecosystem.
