Interested in progressive politics and communications? Join End Citizens United’s communications and digital teams this summer and help us fight for meaningful campaign finance reform!
ECU is a grassroots campaign finance reform group dedicated to getting Big Money out of politics. We spearheaded the No Corporate PAC movement, helped flip the House in 2018 and Senate in 2020, and elevated campaign finance reform and voting rights as a national priority.
As a member of both the communications and digital teams, you’ll be working directly with us to help frame and shape the reform movement. Intern responsibilities include drafting press releases and social media content, monitoring news, compiling news clips, writing op-eds, and getting a front row seat to progressive politics and campaigns. Interns will learn directly about how to deal with reporters on and off-the-record and the ins-and-outs of political communications in the digital age.
Interns should be self-starters with an interest in progressive politics and campaigns. We are looking for organized individuals with strong writing skills and the ability to copy-edit and write creatively for a variety of audiences.
Interns will be paid $15/hr. Due to COVID-19, this will be a fully remote internship. Applicants from all locations are encouraged to apply.
Qualified applicants should submit a resume, cover letter, and writing sample to jobs@endcitizensunited.org. The deadline to apply is April 16, 2021.
End Citizens United is an equal opportunity employer and will comply with all applicable laws prohibiting discrimination in employment.
