Position Summary: The Marketing Coordinator will help amplify LifeLine Animal Project’s mission and brand through the support of lifesaving marketing campaigns. This full-time position is responsible for helping create content for various marketing channels including social media, email, merchandizing, print, website and our blog. This is a creative role that is perfect for someone looking to have a direct impact on saving lives while learning more about marketing and brand communications. This position will have a shared photo studio/office at the Community Animal Center and is able to work remotely some of the time. This position ideally works one of the weekend days, Saturday preferred, if possible.
Qualifications/Preferred Experience Includes:
- Passion for animals and comfort handling all types and sizes
- BS degree in marketing or a related field
- Comfortable with various technologies and platforms (CRM, Social Media, Excel, Google Suite)
- Strong creative, writing and content creation abilities
- Strong Photoshop, photography and digital video editing/production capabilities
- Good communication and project management experience
- Strong attention to detail and follow-up
- Creative, idea generator and collaborative team player
- Comfortable with inventory management and reporting
Primary Responsibilities:
1. General Marketing
- Assist with content creation (writing, video and photography) to increase brand awareness, adoptions and fundraising for the organization and drive traffic to our digital properties and physical locations
- Help provide competitive analysis, identify industry trends and best practices
- Brainstorm new creative campaign and marketing opportunities with internal teams
- Participate and represent LifeLine at in-shelter and offsite events (may require weekend participation)
- Help create and post new content for the website including SEO, marketing campaigns, promotions, blog posts and other updates as needed.
- Assist with content creation, copywriting, photo selection for email marketing campaigns as needed
2. Social Media Support for the Community Animal Center (CAC)
- Capture and post video and photography of all adoptable animals at the CAC
- Capture and post stories of our teams and work in action: adoptions, clinic stories, rescue events
- Assist with expanding and promoting organization’s brand and programs on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Google Business and any other relevant or up and coming platforms
- Help create and solicit content for posting on selected social media platforms
- Answer messages and resolve customer service issues in a timely and positive manner
- Assist with engagement on LifeLine’s social media platforms to share resources and continue to build LifeLine's relationship with the community we serve
- Assist with Facebook group engagement and moderation
3. Merchandizing & Product Ordering
- Assist with placing orders for marketing materials, including postcards, staff and volunteer shirts, flyers, signage, SWAG, etc.
- Assist Digital Marketing Manager with design ideation, inventory management, sales tracking and distribution of all LifeLine-branded merchandise
4. General Administrative Needs
- Fulfill requests, complete assignments, meet deadlines and communicate proactively in a timely manner
- Demonstrate a commitment to critical organization values
- Build and maintain solid, collaborative working relationships with all members of the marketing team and greater organization
- Work responsibly, as this is a semi-remote position
- Other duties, as assigned
