Position Summary
The Together Toward Health (TTH) initiative is seeking a Learning & Workforce Development Manager to lead the activities related to shared experiences and knowledge, joint action, and capacity/skills-building for grantees. Reporting to the Together Toward Health (TTH) Program Director, the Learning & Workforce Development Manager will have primary responsibility for establishing a variety of group learning and networking strategies, as well as, identify and coordinate a set of professional development pathways for the TTH grantee community.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, and lead webinars, trainings, and related events for TTH's remote learning circles; form around specific topics, geographical regions, and/or population groups for sharing, learning, and potential new collaborations. This will include developing agendas, content, finding speakers, distributing and collecting evaluations, and facilitating events.

• Develop and manage relationships with external and internal partner organizations for workforce development activities. This will include monitoring contracts with outside organizations, managing professional development training offerings, and coordinating with other PHI initiatives.

• Coordinate and implement learning strategies and programs, including learning courses, virtual convenings, workshops, virtual career fairs, and other trainings.

• Develop and maintain regular internal TTH program communications to grantee organizations, such as a newsletter to ensure grantee organizations have knowledge of training and development events and resources.

• Collaborate with TTH program team to identify and develop topical, regional, and demographic-based learning opportunities and workforce development activities. Identify and develop strategies to address capacity building and leadership opportunities for TTH grantees to enhance local, regional, and statewide efforts.

• Work with the TTH evaluation team to adequately assess and monitor the success of learning opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum five years' experience in knowledge management or organizational learning is required, including three years of increasingly responsible programmatic work experience in a nonprofit, philanthropic, public interest consulting, or social entrepreneurship setting.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
• Experience providing technical assistance, training, and/or other capacity building support to grassroots organizations, community organizers, and mainstream public health or related partners is strongly preferred.
• Understanding of workforce development, adult learning theory, Human Resources, and professional development best practices to support, engage, and encourage a diverse workforce
• Excellent organizational and project management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills as well as knowledge of people-centered educational methodologies and outreach techniques.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
• High degree of comfort with public speaking and facilitation and/or training. Experience with creating and hosting learning events like webinars and network learning circles.
• Openness to new ideas, a creative and innovative mind energetically searching for new solutions, and passionate about helping people learn and grow.
• Familiarity with and strong commitment to addressing diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Ability to work independently as well as with all levels of management and staff.
• Demonstrated proficiency with computer technology (including Microsoft Office suite, virtual meeting platforms and databases) and web content management systems.
• Understanding of how COVID-19 affects specific vulnerable populations and under-resourced communities, and appreciation of the emerging impacts of COVID-19 on healthcare systems, public health departments, and government agencies.

Desired Qualifications

• Master's Degree preferred.
• Proficiency in Spanish is a plus!

• This is a full-time (40 hours per week minimum) position.
• This position has a tentative end date of 12/31/2021.
• This is a remote position working from a home office. Preference will be given to candidates who are located in or very familiar with California.
