Summary of Position
Now more than ever, states have a critical role to play in driving our country forward. The Impact Project (TIP) does this by advancing economic and democracy policies that improve the quality of life for working- and middle-class people. We are 100% focused at the state level and we currently work in AZ, CO, FL, GA, ME, MD, MI, MN, NV, NM, NC, PA, VA, and WI.
The Policy Manager is our savvy policy brain developing policies, translating them for issue campaigns, and creating opportunities for policy wins in the areas of economic reform and democracy. The Policy Manager helps drive issue agendas in states where policy infrastructure is lacking and helps bolster efforts in states with more advanced infrastructure by connecting the policy work to sophisticated resources.
This position will be working on a wide range of policy issues so while they don’t need to be the expert in every issue area, they need to be connected to a network of experts who can dig deep and be able to get the information and analysis needed to drive our work forward. And all along the way, they bring new, outside-the-box approaches to accelerate change.
This position reports to and works closely with the Policy Director. This position is full time and considered exempt for federal overtime purposes.
