Are you looking to make a difference in the lives of children experiencing homelessness? Our House is always looking for compassionate & dedicated employees committed to early childhood education. We are looking for energetic, highly qualified workers to be a part of our team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly influential dynamic team.

The Residential Specialist is primarily responsible for safety of the residents and security of facilities. The Residential Specialist works in conjunction with the Director of Housing & Family Services and holds the responsibility of meeting the residents' needs; safety of the shelter; and ensuring that all housing operations conform to the highest standards of quality. The Residential Specialist will ensure that policies and procedures are followed during the times that the Director of Housing & Family Services is unavailable.  

The hours and days of work for the position vary and include Tuesday-Friday, 11pm-7:30am, weekends and holidays. Flexibility is required.

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: 3-5 years of applicable experience in a residential program serving families or similar social service agency

Skills:

  • Demonstrated leadership ability
  • Ability to relate well to children and families
  • Ability to multi-task independently with little supervision
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, especially relating to individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences

Required Certifications: CPR and ServSafe certifications – training will be provided by employer.
