Holy Comforter/Friendship Center Administrator Job Description

Work Schedule

  • 20 hours per week
  • Required: Tuesdays 8am – 3 pm; Thursdays 8am – 3pm
  • Remaining hours to be worked on flex time with notice given to fellow staff members of general working hours


  • Check mail/voicemail/email


  • Deposit: check accuracy of the Sunday deposit and take the deposit to bank
  • Input weekly contributions to Realm
  • Send reminder e-mails to the Wednesday night supper volunteers at least two weeks ahead of their scheduled date to provide supper.
  • Realm, weekly data entry as needed
  • Attend weekly staff meetings
  • Send weekly email to church mailing list
  • Prepare Sunday bulletin

On Going

  • Supplies, inventory, and purchase/order as needed 
  • Building and Property management:
  • Oversee Sexton’s work: print out tasks lists, etc…
  • Contact service providers and schedule necessary building maintenance/repairs: 
  • Office administration:
    • Acknowledgement letters
    • Parish life: prepare and submit the appropriate paperwork for baptisms, confirmations, transfers, marriages, burials, etc…
    • Maintain master calendar
    • Work with parishioners/participants to book various medical appointments


  • Recurring Annual Maintenance:
  • Draft the upcoming year’s Wednesday Night Supper schedule. Contact the parishes to confirm. Begin this process around October of each year.
  • Parochial report: work with the Financial Administrator to prepare the report and submit it to the Diocese
  • Occasional duties not otherwise specified
