The Madison-Morgan Cultural Center (MMCC) is a multi-disciplinary non-profit center located in Madison Georgia. Its mission is to present high quality programming and educational opportunities in visual and performing arts, history, and humanities utilizing its historic buildings. Facilities include a 400-seat auditorium, galleries for visual arts exhibitions, a museum, and an adjacent building with a stage and large event space. The annual budget for MMCC is $500,000-600,000. The current staff consists of four full time and four part time personnel.
MMCC is seeking an Executive Director with
- Experience in providing overall Vision, Administration, and Management
- Experience in providing Leadership, Delegation, Supervision and Evaluation of Staff
- Experience in conceiving, developing and executing programming which enhances and serves the community
- Experience in Fundraising with Community, Foundations and Grantors
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to seek and effect change when appropriate and recognize new opportunities
Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining the vision and goals of the organization
- Developing and maintaining communication and positive relationships with Board of Trustees and the Center’s broader constituency
- Obtaining grants and donations from foundations, governments, corporations and individuals to finance operations and programming goals
- Ensure that physical and financial assets are managed and maintained in a professional manner
- Managing revenue and expenditures with Finance Director and in accordance with budget approved by Executive Committee
- Providing guidance, delegation, supervision and evaluation of staff
- Providing leadership to committees and staff when determining and executing annual programming and fundraising activities
Professional qualifications:
- Any combination of degree, education, experience and management in related non-profit field for a minimum of 5 years
- Strong work ethic with integrity and transparent leadership
Salary
- Range $65,000 to $90,000 commensurate with experience
