Grants and Data Coordinator

FCS I Focused Community Strategies is a Christian community development organization that partners with under-resourced neighborhoods to provide innovative and holistic development that produces flourishing communities where God’s Shalom is present.

Description:

The Grants and Data Coordinator is a vital member of the FCS Development Team tasked with ensuring all grant awards are stewarded with fidelity.  The Grants and Data Coordinator coordinates data collection, communications and reporting required by the grant maker.  The Grants and Data Coordinator ensures that FCS is in full compliance of all grant requirements throughout the timeline of the grant and will maintain a grants calendar and electronic filing system to this end.  

Reports to: Director of Development

Responsibilities:

Grant Management

• Support the development team in the grant writing process
• Work with Directors to execute grant funded programming and ensure grant alignment
• Work with Directors to identify program areas that align with future funding possibilities
• Manage grant expenditures and budgets
• Lead process for producing grant reports

Data Collection

• Work with each program to collect robust and impactful data points
• Find areas where data intersects between programs to support FCS’s holistic approach
• Use data to support mission of organization
• Use findings to create reports needed for funders, communications and case building
• Work with Development team to strengthen grant proposals through data analysis

• Commitment to FCS mission and values of neighboring and holistic development
• Cultural competency within racial and socioeconomic diversity
• Highly organized and self-starter
• Financial reporting and/or bookkeeping skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
• Commitment to a team environment
