The Marketing & Communications Manager oversees all day-to-day communications needs of Callanwolde. The primary responsibility will be to promote Callanwolde programs in the community. This position is responsible for executing all communications. This person will coordinate and manage a range of marketing projects for various Callanwolde departments. Those projects include but are not limited to social media advertising, external/internal event promotions and educational programming and more. This person must be able to work in a fast-paced, complex, multi-faceted environment both independently and in a team environment with consistent feedback from various departments. The ability to multi-task yet still meet critical deadlines is a must.
Key areas of responsibility
- Develop and implement marketing and promotional plans
- Coordinate the process and timeline for marketing team initiatives
- Manage marketing calendar
- Manage website
- Work with internal teams to write collateral copy and manage copy review and approval process when applicable
- Assist in managing relationships with media outlets and advertising vendors
- Track and analyze marketing and social media campaign performance
- Build relationships with internal and external constituencies to promote Callanwolde
- Negotiate rates and managing bids and contracts from printing and advertising vendors
- Manages all social media platforms
- Analyze web and social media trends through use of Google Analytics and other software
QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism or a related field.
- At least 1-2 years marketing/communications experience in a relevant industry (nonprofit experience preferred but not mandatory)
- Experience with marketing and social media analytics
- Cultural sensitivity and understanding of diversity
- Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop, as well as Microsoft Office software, social media applications, and emerging media
- High level of initiative, problem-solving and project management capabilities; highly organized with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects and priorities
Schedule: Office Hours, daytime & weekend events as needed, flexibility to monitor social media.
Reports to: Executive Director
