Goshen Therapeutic Services, a division of Goshen Valley Foundation, is a community based social service organization that provides services for families involved with DFCS as well as in the community. We are currently seeking Family Support Specialists who provide parent coaching and training as outlined in service authorization provided by DFCS.

Responsibilities: 

·Utilize evidenced based curriculum provided by the agency.
·Provide transportation services for supervised visitation between parents and children as outlined on the service authorization and case plan.
·Provide supervision for visitation between parents and children.
·Assist the family and children in making progress towards reunification by identifying strengths, building skills, building community and social supports.
·Work in partnership with DFCS case managers to help families achieve their potential.
·Attend court hearings or case panel hearings to testify as requested by attorneys and DFCS.
·Track units of service and dates of service outlined on the service authorization.
·Document all services in Electronic Health record.
·Attend monthly meetings, as required, for training, to receive updates regarding policies and procedures and to staff cases.
·Maintain compliance with required trainings: Safe to Sleep,
Child Safety Car Seat, HIPPA, Workplace Violence, Security Information
Awareness, etc.

Requirements:
·Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field. (Psychology, Sociology, Counseling (religious counseling is not acceptable) Social Work, Child Development, Community Mental Health,
Human Services, Criminal Justice (only with Juvenile experience/DJJ), Education (experience teaching k-12 grade).
·In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, you must have 5 years of human service experience.
·Must submit a valid and official transcript showing proof of degree awarded.
·Valid Driver’s License with good driving record and proof of insurance.
· Pass a criminal background check, other safety screenings and drug screen.
·Must have access to a computer and telephone to contact clients and document services provided.
