TITLE: Specialist, Quality & Registry Analytics

POSITION SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

The Specialist, Quality & Registry Analytics is responsible for planning, execution, oversight, budgeting and reporting for all aspects of assigned quality measurement projects. Primary responsibilities include convening and supporting the work of volunteer experts in identifying recommendations for appropriate assessments of patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and developing quality measures based on those recommendations for the grant titled “Developing and Disseminating Programs to Build Sustainable Lupus Awareness, Knowledge, Skills, and Partnerships”. The Specialist is also responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of the ACR’s suite of rheumatology quality measures, as well as the implementation of those quality measures in the ACR’s RISE registry (a Qualified Clinical Data Registry, QCDR).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and systematically oversee project timelines and completion of deliverables for assigned quality measure development projects and activities – particularly as related to grant-funded work.
  • Ensure that ACR quality measures are properly maintained and that new measure development projects meet established goals and timelines.
  • Liaise with and guide other staff and volunteer members of project teams to be sure milestones and budget requirements are being met and report any challenges to the Director, Registry Analytics.
  • Serve as project manager for assigned quality measure development projects. Duties include but are not limited to the following:
  • Solicit volunteer participation in project activities
  • Develop and manage overall project plan and timeline
  • Communicate with volunteers and committee members regarding project activities and meetings in a timely manner
  • Schedule meetings and conference calls, ensuring the appropriate participants are included
  • Prepare meeting materials
  • Draft minutes, record decisions that influence project plans, and track next steps
  • Assist in the writing and development of specifications and value sets for rheumatology-specific quality measures
  • Support the integration of ACR’s quality measures into the RISE registry.
  • Conduct reviews of quality measures documentation, including measure logic, data dictionaries and code sets

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree or degree in a related clinical field (e.g., Nurse Practitioner, Advanced Practice Nurse, etc.) preferred
  • 2-4 years of experience with clinical quality of care or quality measurement projects required
  • At a minimum, a basic understanding of medical coding systems
  • Experience with clinical registries preferred
  • Strong project management skills with a focus on meeting deliverables and deadlines
  • Highly detail-oriented with demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to organize and manage several projects simultaneously and exercise judgment in prioritizing and handling responsibilities
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with volunteers, staff and outside vendors/organizations tactfully, respectfully and efficiently.
