Who We Are:

The Atlanta Community Food Bank is working to end hunger in our community with the food, people and big ideas needed so that no one worries where their next meal is coming from.  Since 1979, we’ve been providing food for a growing network of nonprofit partners – including food pantries, community kitchens, child care centers, night shelters and senior centers.  We currently serve more than 700 partners in 29 counties across metro Atlanta and north Georgia.

About the Role:

The Corporate Relations Specialist oversees all food drives and food related events in the Atlanta Community Food Bank’s 29 county service area.  The responsibilities of this role include collaborating with the Senior Manager of Corporate Relations to reach annual monetary goals, to cultivate and steward donors, and to acquire new donor. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Corporate Relations.

What You’ll Do:

Leads Project Coordination

  • Oversees day to day food drive activities
  • Coordinates major food drive events such as but not limited to Operation Isaiah, Stamp Out and Food A Thon, including collaboration with other internal departments and organizing of volunteers and staff
  • Coordinates and grows the Canstruction event
  • Assesses current processes to confirm efficiency and best practices around food drive model
  •  Updates policies and procedures around the shift in operations and logistics with food drive pick-ups, drop offs, and walk-ins
  • Coordinates and attends all Combined Federal Campaigns on and off site visits

 

 

Builds and Nurtures Relationships

  • Cultivates and stewards current large food drive and donor relationships
  • Builds a robust stewardship and recognition program
  • Maintains a high level of service for all food drive partners and ensures excellent customer service to all partners and donors
  • Leads the organization on large scale food drives and builds corporate relations
  • Solicits new business in all areas

 

 

Data and Administration

  • Enters and monitors donor activity in Raiser’s Edge and Luminate
  • Utilizes and owns the Luminate software in implementing Food and Fund drives
  • Collaborates with the Digital Fundraising Specialist to maintain and update webpages
  • Works with the HAC staff to track and maintain donation barrel inventory and maintenance
  • Monitors and tracks all poundage and monetary donations from food drives

What You’ll Need:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Experience

  • Minimum of (2) years of customer service, non-profit or related experience
  • Must have proven experience with project coordination, event planning, and coordination of multiple projects within deadlines and within budget.
  • Demonstrate experience successfully managing relationships with vendors, donors, and/ or sponsors.
  • Must demonstrate a track record of collaborating with internal stakeholders to deliver on objectives.
  • Must have solid working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Google Platforms

Even better if you have:

  • Experience in Raiser's Edge or comparable software preferred
  • Experience in Luminate software

There may be some Physical Demands:

This position works in a typical office setting. There may be extended periods of sitting, standing and/or bending; listening, talking and/or visual concentration; writing and/or computer use.  This position would normally have routine opportunities to alter physical position or change eye focus. Lifting should not normally exceed 50 pounds. Local travel is required.  Must have a satisfactory driving record.
