PAID CANVASSERS -- HIRING STARTS Tuesday, October 13!

PROGRESSIVE POLITICAL CONSULTING FIRM IN CHESTER COUNTY, PA SEEKING PAID CANVASSERS

A democratic campaign in Northern Chester County seeks paid temporary canvassers who can thrive in a dynamic, data-driven environment. This position will pay $18-23/hr and will require non-traditional hours (nights and weekends).

This job is perfect for:

-former Census workers
-People with customer service experience
-Those who can memorize a script
-‘People persons’
-People who are interested in politics

Description of Duties:

-Safe door-to-door canvassing in accordance with social distancing guidelines
-Walking and driving through neighborhoods talking to 2020 voters
-Accurate tracking of voter contact data on a daily basis using MiniVAN.

Qualifications:

This position is an entry-level position. No experience with canvassing or political work is necessary, but it will be welcomed. Ideal candidates would possess the following characteristics:

-Dedicated to electing Democratic and progressive candidates in Chester County
-Possesses strong communication skills
-Enjoys walking and talking to new people
-Able to work productively on their own and manage time effectively
-Prior canvassing, organizing, fundraising positions are a plus
-Familiarity with VAN (preferred, not required)

Requirements:

-Must be able to work weekends and evenings, but scheduling is flexible
-Must have a computer/tablet and internet for training (paid)
-Must have your own cell phone with data plan
-Must have a registered and insured vehicle and a valid driver’s license
-Fluent in English (required)

Pay:

Pay for the paid canvasser position is $18-23/hr. Success bonuses are available for high-performing canvassers! The position is currently slated to run through November 3rd, 2020.
