Job Purpose

At Partners for HOME (PfH), your challenge will be to ensure we create a highly coordinated, homeless crisis response system that delivers outcomes and measures that can be scaled in order to effectively connect individuals experiencing homelessness to the appropriate and most expedient housing solution. Our team’s mission is to lead a coordinated community effort and to layer and leverage the resources and relationships to make homelessness rare, brief, and nonrecurring.

Roles and Responsibilities

This position is for an ambitious and industrious relationship builder who will undertake a variety of administrative and project management tasks, which will include, but not be limited to:

  • Working in close partnership with other PFH staff, Continuum of Care (CoC) partners, the City of Atlanta, and other key stakeholders to define and refine the CoC Coordinated Entry (CES) project and the implementation of Coordinated Entry CoC-wide
  • Develop broad-ranging relationships and provide exceptional customer service to our CoC partners, partnering with them to ensure a transparent system is in place to measure outcomes and deliver results
  • Lead the overall execution and day to day operation, administration, and expansion of Coordinated Entry including, but not limited to:
    • Support planning and coordination of Coordinated Access Points (CAPs) and its activities
    • Ensure implementation of policies and written standards
    • Oversee system navigation, the housing queue and matching process of homeless individuals/families in the Coordinated Entry process
    • Bridge and expand CES to other systems including jails, hospitals, 211, and crisis lines
    • Manage CES support staff
    • Support the continued refinement and expansion of CES
    • Lead work groups with community partners
    • Develop and deliver a training curriculum for community partners
    • Provide support and training for workflows within the homeless management information system (HMIS)
  • Lead and oversee the CoC outreach, crisis and encampment work and coordination to CES, including but not limited to:
    • Coordinate outreach to align with CES
    • Manage and oversee outreach committee meetings
    • Responsible for supporting outreach staff
    • Working with the City of Atlanta departments to coordinate efforts
    • Providing support and training
    • Provide programmatic support for home first funded programs
    • Leading work groups
  • Oversee the work on ending chronic homelessness and Veteran homelessness including, but not limited to:
    • Participate in efforts to streamline processes to end homelessness with community partners
    • Work with other departments to create and manage a by name list and/or take down calculator
  • Keep updated records, monitor data and data quality and generate reports
  • Supervise staff including the onboarding, off boarding, conducting performance reviews and ongoing coaching including, but not limited to:
    • Providing support to direct reports to meet the goals and targets of individual work plans

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • High energy and a passion for the CoC’s mission and goals
  • 2+ years of experience in project management
  • Significant experience building relationships, and gaining community buy-in and consensus building
  • Previous experience in partnering with leadership for the delivery of projects
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Preferred record of measurable results in cultivating relationships
  • Superb organizational skills, with the proven ability to create and implement efficient development systems, plan strategically, allocate work, set and manage objectives, analyze and mitigate risk, and create and manage projects
  • Ability to excel in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, diverse, results-oriented environment, and to handle multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
  • Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills to effectively work with a broad spectrum of stakeholders
  • Impeccable, professional, and persuasive writing and editing skills
  • High energy and a passion for the strategic direction of the CoC and the City of Atlanta in ending homelessness
  • High emotional intelligence with the ability to perceive and understand people’s motivations
  • Highly industrious with a strong work ethic; sense of urgency/impatience for action
  • Integrity and humility that encourages and inspires constituents; strong sense of judgment
  • Ability to seek out constructive criticism and growth
  • Ability to thrive under pressure, consistently meeting expectations and commitments on tight deadlines, all while managing a variety of tasks and relationships in an efficient and meticulous manner
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and of project management tools
  • We have an ambitious and spirited culture that is passionate about ending homelessness. We strive to display heart, empathy, and resolve in our daily interactions with one another
  • At least a Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s Degree preferred
  • At least 3 years of experience in homeless services

Supervisory Responsibilities

Will supervise two direct reports and work of others as it relates to performance and special projects.

While not a direct service provider, Partners for HOME is a nonprofit organization authorized by the Atlanta CoC and City of Atlanta to provide homeless response; fundraising and grantmaking; and performance and compliance management services to the local homeless ecosystem.
