Position Summary
Beulah Heights University is currently accepting applications for the position Instructor – Leadership Studies in the Department of Business and Leadership. The Instructor of Leadership Studies is responsible for providing instruction in Organizational Leadership, Strategic Leadership, Biblical Leadership, or a related field. This position is a part-time non-tenure teaching position with the responsibility of teaching four courses per semester.
Duties and Responsibilities
Teach assigned courses in Leadership Studies at the graduate and doctoral levels. As outlined in the faculty handbook, maintain instructional standards, facilitate instruction through alternate delivery methods, post and maintain regular office hours, establish, and maintain accurate student records.
Develop new courses, instructional materials, assessments, and course outlines.
Participate in curriculum revisions, textbook revisions, and committees as assigned. The successful candidate will also participate in student recruitment and retention activities.
Minimum Qualifications
• Conferred doctorate in Organizational Leadership, Strategic Leadership, Biblical Leadership, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
• Expertise is desired in preparing students for IRB, chairing dissertation committees, or serving as a committee member.
Work Environment
Work is performed under general supervision in a typical classroom or online learning environment. The position requires working mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends.
Physical Requirements
This position's essential functions require the ability to lift at least 10 pounds occasionally, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, sit, stand, and occasionally walk. Other essential functions include manual dexterity and the ability to communicate.
