LCSW Clinician and Training Instructor

Department: Receiving Hope Center (RHC) and Institute Services

Reports to: RHC Program Coordinator and Institute Services Director

Hours: 40+ hours per week, with flexibility if needed for coverage; on-call rotation required

Location: Receiving Hope Center

Position Summary: The LCSW Clinician and Training Instructor is responsible for providing exceptional trauma-informed care in a residential setting, ensuring the emotional and social needs of the Receiving Hope Center participants are met. Supporting organizational goals for the highest level of behavioral health services, the Clinician and Training Instructor will provide effective delivery of direct care training, as well as clinical supervision and oversight for Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW) and Master of Social Work (MSW) staff members and MSW interns across Wellspring Living.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):                                                                                                                

Participant Stabilization

  • Deliver key services on-site, including individual, group and family therapy
  • Engage in multi-disciplinary clinical treatment team meetings to address progress and barriers
  • Complete biopsychosocial assessments and individualized treatment plans
  • Assist families in contributing to participant progress by ensuring family therapy is available, either in person or through tele-health
  • Ensure documentation is appropriately entered and maintained into relevant Electronic Health Record system
  • Maintain on-call availability to address coverage emergencies and participant crises
  • Provide care to program participants without regard to race, gender, ethnicity, religious or spiritual beliefs
  • Provide culturally competent care for participants wondering about their sexuality or gender identity, including those who may identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, gender-variant, or those who have questions
  • Practice and teach healthy boundaries to program participants
  • Provide support and crisis intervention as needed

Training and Educational Services

  • Serve as a community liaison with program partners, agencies, and other community groups, coordinating services as appropriate
  • With the guidance of the Institute Services Director, regularly participate in coordination and delivery of direct care training for staff, clients, partners, and the community
  • Provide organizational expertise as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), including discipline-related oversight for LMSW staff members, MSW staff members and MSW interns in collaboration with program leadership
  • Maintain knowledge of current best practices across Wellspring Living programs, as well as trafficking and trauma, seeking professional growth in evidence-based practices through training and independent study
  • Bolster online training options through the Internal Institute
  • Collect program data and complete regular dashboard and grant reports
  • Support the Institute Services Director with Institute priorities and projects as needed

Professional Qualifications:       

  • Administrative, organizational, and computer skills including use of email and Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Documentation of references (at least two professional and one personal) that attest to the person’s capability of performing the duties of the position and to the person’s suitability of working with or around children and vulnerable populations
  • Active status in good standing in the State of Georgia, unrestricted, as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • Minimum one year of experience strongly preferred working with adolescents in a residential setting, preferably under OPM/RBWO guidelines and procedures

Position Requirements:                

  • Moderate local travel required related to program and training needs, as well as occasional travel beyond the metro Atlanta area
  • Must be able to lift objects up to 25 pounds and have the ability to work for long periods at a computer
  • Satisfactory preliminary criminal history background check determination and a satisfactory fingerprint records check determination as required by law
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record
  • Documentation from a licensed physician or other licensed healthcare professional of a health screening examination within thirty (30) days of hiring sufficient in scope to identify conditions that may place residents at risk of infection, injury or improper care
  • Current evidence of successful completion of a biennial training program in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and a triennial training program in first aid which have been offered by a certified or licensed health care professional; such programs shall be completed within the first year of employment
  • Participation in all required trainings and competency in areas of training content
