Community Canvasser - Voter Registration

Pay: $17-$19/hr, Part & Full-time - paid training and bonuses!

Are you passionate about promoting democracy and want to help everyone participate in this election and beyond? We are currently seeking Voter Registration Canvassers to join us on an important and exciting non-partisan campaign with Everytown for Gun Safety to help college students register to vote and help elect leaders that will end gun violence in America. With extensive training and health and safety protocols, we are able to do this important work while keeping ourselves and our communities safe. We provide all of the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) you will need!

Locations: Ann Arbor & Detroit, MI; State College & Pittsburgh, PA; Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill, NC

 

Canvasser Responsibilities ($17-$18/hr):

-Assist people in carefully and correctly registering to vote 

-Engage with people in a friendly and professional manner

-Strictly follow the campaign's safety protocols, including the use of PPE and compliance with daily health and safety guidelines

-Familiarize yourself with state registration laws and statutes, and comply with all applicable legal requirements and processes for registering voters

 

The ideal candidate is:

-Charismatic, energetic, and passionate about voting rights and the importance of voter registration

-Customer service skills; you should enjoy working with other people and be willing to speak with everyone

-Goal-oriented, determined, motivated, and able to see the bigger picture

 

Prior experience with voter registration or other canvassing operations is a plus but not required.

 

Pay and Benefits: $17-$18 per hour, training is paid and we also offer sick pay and $100 friend referral bonuses. Health insurance is an option for all full-time staff (30+hours). There’s opportunities to move into the Team Leadership role which pays $19/hr.
