Data Coordinator / Clerical Assistant

Position Description

Qualifications

The Data Coordinator/Clerical Assistant position requires at least a high school diploma and experience in spreadsheet use, data base use, and general software use. Attention to detail and commitment to follow-up required. Strong communication skills needed.                                                        

Areas of Responsibility:

Data Entry/Management

  1. Data entry of activity from NETWorks programs.
  2. Manage paper files for pantry and Grocery Alliance, including annual member data update.
  3. Review/audit of data entry performed by others, to ensure complete and accurate record of daily activity, including visits, food received and distributed, and funds disbursed.
  4. Support Program Director in generating month-end reports.
  5. Assist in record keeping for donors. Prepare donor thank you letters.
  6. General clerical work, such as filing, mail, etc.

Systems Management

  1. Maintain a database of clients being assisted, including setting up new clients and/or updating or editing records as needed.
  2. Enter and/or create donor records. Prepare mail/email communications. Web-based software.

Personnel and Finance

  1. Maintain regular office hours (TBD), and additional hours as needed with prior approval, for data entry, donor communications, and monthly reporting.
  2. Handle other duties as requested in support of and cooperation with the Program Director or Executive Director.

Data Coordinator/Clerical Assistant Skill Set:

Ability to work with a variety of people, education levels, and life circumstances

Willingness to learn and adapt and be flexible.

High level of attention to detail.

Possess computer skills with ability to learn new programs and processes.

Specifics

The position will require 15-20 hours per week. The Data Coordinator will report directly to the Program Director with some reporting to Executive Director. Compensation will be based on experience within a range of pay beginning at $15/hour.
