Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Marketing and Communications Manager has one primary role: to oversee all marketing, promotion and outreach activities that build upon the Fresh Approach brand, in order to increase awareness and relevancy of its programs and aid in fund development.

The Marketing & Communications Manager will work collaboratively with other Managers, Directors, Program Staff, Funders and Board members to establish marketing strategies to meet organizational objectives and coordinate a range of internal and external communications through a variety of channels.

The Marketing & Communications Manager is responsible for managing all branding and marketing support for Fresh Approach programs and projects, including but not limited to: email marketing, social media, press releases, brand resources, maintenance of the organization’s website (WordPress), design of marketing collateral (flyers, banners, brochures, etc), branding and promotion of individual fundraising campaigns, creation of materials for thought leadership communications, and the creation of an Annual Report. The Marketing & Communications Manager will also act as a direct supervisor to marketing staff, providing feedback, and resolving complex problems.

Spanish or other language abilities are a big plus, but not required. Familiarity with graphic design software (Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and/or Lightroom), email marketing tools (Mailchimp), social media scheduling tools (Buffer), web analytics (Google Analytics, Google Search Console), Facebook Ads, photography, and website CMS (WordPress) strongly desired.
