Census Coordinator

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct in-language outreach and education at events, places of worship, schools, and community centers.
• Coordinate the activities of other Muslim leaders and organizations in the collective census effort
• Recruit Census volunteers, advocates, and leaders
• Create a database of contacts and organizations who are recruited
• Attend census related meetings
• Report on activities, successes, and challenges to Executive Director
• Work with GAMVP team to coordinate events and activities

Job Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively and respectfully with diverse community members; 
•  Demonstrated ability to be creative and manage priorities;
•  Flexibility to attend evening and weekend events and meetings, as needed;
• Be willing and able to drive to various locations to perform work duties;
• A self-starter
• Strong communicator, both written and verbal
• Be available to work 20 hours per week
• Must have their own reliable transportation 
• Strong work ethic, maturity, and accountability
• Fluency in Arabic, Hindi, Urdu, Gujurati, or Burmese preferred
