Position
Reporting to the Director of Programs and Grants, the Program Associate serves as a key leadership team
member and active participant in making strategic decisions affecting the 100. This position is responsible
for providing programmatic support to the Four for the Future programs, chapter grants, and weekly programmatic initiatives and outcomes. In partnership with the Director of Programs and Grants, the
Program Associate will help to implement and administer the programmatic initiatives and grant activations housed in the Programs department.

The Program Associate will need to work independently, as well as work closely with other team members
to implement appropriate planning, execution, and reporting practices.

It is expected that the number of programmatic initiatives offered by the 100 will increase in future years and the Programs Associate must systematically and effectively strengthen the organization's ability to plan, implement, and report on said programming.


Responsibilities
• Provide programmatic support to the Four for the Future programs, chapter grants, and weekly programmatic initiatives and outcomes
• Administer chapter related grant application processes, including updating approved Request for Proposals (RFP) and Memorandums of Understanding (MOU), notifying Chapter Network of funding status, drafting reporting templates, tracking and collecting data, preparing payment authorizations/purchase orders, and scheduling conference calls
• Create draft program templates, spreadsheets, letters, and email communications for review, input, and feedback
• Track and collect National Scholarship forms, update spreadsheets, and prepare payment authorizations/purchase orders to Colleges/Universities
• In conjunction with headquarters’ staff and respective youth competition committee chairs, assist in the planning, organization, implementation, and administration of the youth competitions to ensure annual organizational and departmental goals are successfully achieved
• Engage fully in departmental team coordination to advance the mission, organizational imperatives, and departmental goals of 100 Black Men of America, Inc.
• Work closely with other team members to implement appropriate planning, execution, and reporting practices
• Provide support for the programmatic components of the Fall Leadership Conference, Leadership Summit, and Annual Conference across departmental functions, in conjunction with team members.


Qualifications
• Exceptional organizational and administrative skills
• Nonprofit experience preferred
• 2-3 years of program, project, or grant experience
• 1-year of event or convention planning experience preferred
• Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and projects, set and reorder priorities, and maintain
focus and professionalism in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Solid work ethic, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work well with diverse peoples and
personalities in diverse settings, and a healthy respect for teamwork
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA preferred
