The Schwartz Center Box Office is a unit of the Schwartz Center for Performing Arts in the Emory College of Arts and Sciences. The box office provides ticketing for the Candler Concert Series, Theater Emory, Emory Dance, the Emory music department, rental partners, and occasional campus department events. The Box Office Coordinator assists the Box Office Manager in the organizing, coordinating, and planning of daily sales processes and procedures.
Job duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- The maintenance of accurate patron information in the Tessitura system, settlement and reporting of daily sales and event sales, processing web sales, and answering patron emails.
- Proofreads all Arts at Emory printed and digital materials to ensure accurate event information is distributed to patrons.
- Tracks analytics and web conversions to assist in sales and marketing efforts.
- Assists the Box Office Manager in the writing of subscription renewals and automated patron emails, as well as coordinating the training and supervision of a seasonal student employee staff.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a field related to the program and two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Box Office experience in a performing arts venue, with experience using Tessitura being a plus.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule.
- Attention to detail and an affinity for delving into the particulars of patron and event data.
- Experience leading and training staff members, with experience supervising college students being a plus.
- Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and help others to stay on task.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to communicate with patrons, donors, co-workers and management.
- Experience using Google analytics.
This position will work some evening and weekend performances in addition to a regular weekly schedule.
