Special Olympics International (SOI) seeks to form mutually beneficial, long-term partnerships with corporations that can offer reach and revenue to support the brand and its organizational priorities. Based on the Global Strategic Partnerships team, the manager position will specifically focus on assisting the team cultivate, managed and fulfill existing corporate partnerships.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manages the fulfillment, renewal and continued growth of SOI corporate partners
  • Supports team members on larger partnership initiatives and new business projects
  • Design and execute an annual development strategy to annually secure and generate a minimum of $500,000 toward the corporate team’s overall revenue goal
  • Prepare grants, statements of work, presentations/proposals and other requests to solicit financial support along with budget relieving in-kind donations;
  • Work cross-functionally to develop innovative, customized activations for prospective partners to align a company’s key business objectives with SOI’s priorities;
  • Collaborate with functional programmatic leads and SOI & state-based chapter executives on local partnerships activations including promotions, programmatic deliverables and employee engagement
  • Assists in planning and coordinating stewardship activities and acknowledgements of gifts 
  • Maintains accurate data, case studies and reports progress regularly
  • Creates and manages appropriate tracking system for reporting activities
  • Travel to be expected (20%)
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree and at least 3-5 years of experience in managing and growing corporate partnerships sponsorships, traditional grants and/or cause-related marketing.
• Ability to work independently - capable of working on individual assignments for periods of time and making presentations/direct solicitations on behalf of SOI
• Ability to negotiate complex and diverse giving structures/programs and facilitate meaningful donor relationships and effective donation placement
• Experience working with a variety of corporate-based divisions including, but not limited to foundations, marketing, CSR and sponsorship divisions
• Demonstrated success driving revenue growth in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• High energy, sense of humor and passion for team collaboration
• Fluency with Salesforce and all Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications:
 Preferred experience with corporate social responsibility and/or corporate philanthropic programs
 Working knowledge and background of federated non-profit organizational structures
