Georgia Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), a nonprofit organization, partners with a network of 46 affiliates in local communities to provide volunteer advocates for children experiencing foster care due to abuse or neglect. The Court Appointed Special Advocates state network consists of over 250 staff members and 2,700 trained volunteer advocates who advocate for more than 11,150 children each year. Georgia CASA is currently seeking a Program Services Coordinator, a newly created position within the 10-person organization. This full time position is a member of the Program Operations team and reports directly to the Program Operations Director. Main Objective:

The Program Services Coordinator assists affiliate support and services for the CASA network to further the CASA mission. The Program Services Coordinator serves as a resource for the affiliate network and Georgia CASA staff in fulfilling the needs of affiliate leadership and staff.

Primary Responsibilities:

·        Work in partnership with Georgia CASA staff in providing direct support and services for affiliate CASA board and executive leadership

·        Engage and promote network affiliation through information exchange and distribution

·        Assist in strategy development, planning, and innovation around network support services

·        Foster meaningful relationships and collaboration with CASA affiliate staff

·        Model organization culture, values, and vision

·        Work collaboratively with other staff members on objectives that serve the mission, vision and purpose of Georgia CASA

Specific Responsibilities:

·        Provide support for affiliate training, consultation and services to strengthen affiliate operations, management, and supervision including but not limited to affinity groups, onsite and virtual training, consultation, and information dissemination

·        Support continuous quality improvement process and compliance monitoring through the coordination of site reviews, court observations, and feedback loops with local affiliates

·        Assist in the creation and maintenance of tools and resources for CASA network to support informed and effective management

·        Network with other organizations and collaborative efforts across the state to increase the awareness of CASA and build cooperative relationships

·        Represent CASA network with state-level partners, keep network informed, and serve as a liaison between state and local affiliates

·        Provide support towards policy development and review

·        Distribute information with the network to promote quality, growth and leadership opportunities

·        Support opportunities for peer exchange and dialogue

·        Promote effective practices and advancements in service delivery across the state network 

·        Maintain an effective working relationship with Georgia CASA staff, board, and stakeholders

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

·        Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years of direct or related experience, or equivalent

·        Demonstrated experience in nonprofit administration, human services, advocacy or related field

·        Knowledge of child welfare policy, case/care management, and/or child advocacy 

·        Demonstrated ability to establish and cultivate relationships with a wide range of constituencies

·        Demonstrated leadership ability

·        Ability to work independently and as a part of a small team supporting a large statewide network

·        Excellent verbal and written communications skills

·        Ability and willingness to travel across Georgia for trainings, meetings, and conferences

·        Pass screening requirement, including criminal background checks

·        Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
