FOUNDATION INFORMATION

Healthcare Georgia Foundation is a statewide, private independent foundation located in Atlanta, Georgia. This position works with management to effectively plan, develop and implement the Foundation’s marketing strategies, marketing communications, and public relations activities, both external and internal. This position oversees development and implementation of support materials and services and coordinates at the strategic and tactical levels to develop and promote the Foundation’s brand and messaging.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create, implement and maintain a comprehensive marketing, communications and public relations program that will enhance the Foundation’s image and mission.
  • Coordinate communications and public relations activities and materials including publications, media relations.
  • Ensure articulation of Foundation’s desired image and position, assure consistent communication of image and position.
  • Manage a produce content for Foundation’s publications, promotional material, public/press relations, and web content
  • Manage of the Foundation’s social media outlets, i.e. Facebook, Twitter, etc.
  • Troubleshoot communications hardware, software and configuration issues.
  • Develop and maintain the Foundation’s media contacts.
  • Manage and develop the Foundation’s sponsorship program.
  • Manage websites and contact database for the Evaluation Resource Center, HealthTecdl, and Foundation.
  • Coordinate and manage the Foundation’s bi-annual grantee and partner conference and community service awards program.
  • Participate in Foundation’s projects and initiatives, while developing engaging communications messaging
  • Manage distance learning program sponsored by Healthcare Georgia Foundation
  • Coordinate the program communication and marketing support, training and technical assistance for the HealthTecdl Network
  • Work with respective site network locations to support programs and services, prepares program schedules and conducts webinar events
  • Participate in Board meetings and present quarterly updates to Board of Directors
  • Identify opportunities to collaborate and coordinate with allied groups and stakeholders 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism or related field.
  • Minimum Experience: Two years of communications experience, preferably in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field
  • Working knowledge of print, broadcast and digital media
  • Proficient with desktop publishing and graphic design software
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout and design, professional printing/publishing skills are essential, including ability to present concepts verbally
  • Must possess excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Superior project management and time management skills
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital media/social media
  • Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach to management
  • Experience with website content managements systems (familiarity with html, css a plus)
  • Strong interest and background in the healthcare and public policy
  • Demonstrated track record of planning and executing results-oriented communications strategies in a demanding, fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • A collaborative team member, with strong project management skills
  • Event management experience, including managing timelines and logistics
  • Ability and willingness to travel
