POSITION SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

This position is responsible for providing marketing and communications expertise for the registry. The Rheumatology Informatics System for Effectiveness (RISE) registry extracts data from electronic health record systems in order to be analyzed for a variety of purposes, including scientific research. This position will manage marketing calendars, develop messaging, and manage material creation for both registry operations and analytics.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build plans and write copy for marketing RISE data for research through a variety of platforms (includes print & digital channels)
  • Develop content and manage annual calendar for marketing efforts to encourage new RISE participants (includes print & digital channels)
  • Develop content and manage annual calendar for communication efforts to current RISE users (includes print & digital channels), such as a quarterly newsletter and notifications of program updates
  • Manage the webpages associated with both RISE for Practices and the use of RISE for Research
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team on materials design and implementation of marketing pieces as appropriate
  • Plan and manage RISE marketing at appropriate meetings, including the ACR Annual Meeting, State-of-the-Art Clinical Symposium, etc.
  • Develop and create user guides and videos to showcase RISE functionality
  • Create and manage PowerPoint slideshows for committee and strategy meetings
  • Attend meetings and events to promote RISE (e.g. – booth management, presentations) as assigned by the Director, Registry Analytics and Director, Registry Operations
  • Assist in communicating with users and potential users regarding the onboarding process, MIPS program, and MIPS submission (e.g. – email, phone calls, Annual Meeting booth, etc.)
  • Organize and serve as main contact for event logistics (e.g. food orders, a/v, invitations, etc.) for the Annual RISE Strategy Summit
  • Perform other tasks as directed by Director, Registry Analytics and Director, Registry Operations

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in marketing/communications
  • 1-3 years of marketing and/or communications experience
  • Excellent customer relations and interpersonal skills with the ability to work professionally and effectively with members, staff, vendors, et al.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong ability to translate complex topics into easy-to-understand language
  • Highly detail-oriented
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office programs (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Preferred: Familiar with issue tracking systems (e.g. JIRA)
  • Preferred: Experienced in technical and/or medical writing
