The Parkinson's Foundation (PF) makes life better for people with Parkinson’s disease by improving care and advancing research toward a cure. In everything we do, we build on the energy, experience and passion of our global Parkinson's community.

The primary role of the Marketing Assistant is to support PF marketing efforts at the national and local level. Under the supervision of the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Assistant will work with the Communications team and the Development team to maintain branding consistency across all marketing collateral.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serves as the liaison between the Communications team and other departments requesting new marketing materials, promotional items and overall event collateral.
  • Works with the Signature Events team (Moving Day, Parkinson’s Champions, Parkinson’s Revolution) to create new marketing resources to expand and grow events and promote our brand.
  • Oversees all logistical components of collateral and marketing materials for events/conferences/trade shows, etc.
  • Maintains and manages logo assets and branding guidelines for national suite of brands.
  • Coordinates with external vendors to maintain brand integrity on promotional items.
  • Manages internal online storefront inventory and troubleshoots with staff on orders or requests.
  • Establishes process for staff to reserve marketing materials for events and makes updates to written processes.
  • Works with the Communications team to develop customizable marketing templates for staff in support of local programs and fundraising efforts, including brochures, flyers, videos, etc.
  • Researches marketing efforts of competitors to stay abreast of marketing techniques and tactics.
  • Provides staff training or support as needed.
  • Additional projects as assigned.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
  • Minimum three years of Marketing experience; nonprofit experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of basic graphic design principles and competency with various software and digital tools to support Marketing functions.
  • Previous experience with logistical event management, trade shows, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience with design and production of quality collateral materials and publications.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with ability to work on multiple detail-oriented projects.
  • Ability to collaborate with people in a variety of roles, functions and leadership levels.
  • Creative, self-starter who takes initiative as part of a larger team.
  • Commitment to mission and core values of organization.

COMPENSATION:

Salary for this position is competitive and depends on prior experience. In addition, a comprehensive benefits package is included.
