North Fulton Community Charities (NFCC) seeks a dynamic development professional familiar with the North Fulton/ Atlanta philanthropic community to lead its development team through a period of ambitious program and capital growth.

North Fulton Community Charities mission is to build self-sufficiency and prevent homelessness and hunger by providing emergency assistance and enrichment programs.  Based in Roswell, NFCC annually supports close to 4,000 families living in Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Milton, Mountain Park and Roswell.  NFCC is the primary human services agency in response to families  in economic crisis. NFCC provides financial stability by offering the basic resources of food, clothing, emergency financial assistance and adult educational classes.   Additional insight may be found on the following website: www.nfcchelp.org.

The Director of Development serves as a key member of NFCC’s leadership team, is an active participant in making strategic decisions affecting NFCC and is responsible for implementing all fund raising-related components of the NFCC strategic plan.   The Director of Development is responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy from individual, faith, corporate, and civic donors;  capital campaign support from all sources, events, and grants.  The Director of Development will manage existing and develop new relationships to build NFCC’s visibility and increase its financial resources for current programs and new initiatives.  The Director of Development works closely with other NFCC team members to expand the donor base and identify new funding support for programs and initiatives.  In addition the Director of Development will work closely with the board of directors to motivate and guide board members in their fundraising role. 

Responsibilities and assignments are broad in scope and require the exercise of creativity and seasoned judgment as well as executive-level initiative and acumen in effectively integrating perspectives and efforts of internal and external stakeholders into the fundraising strategy.

The successful candidate will be someone with a proven track record of fund raising success; a self-motivated planner and implementer with the ability to work individually and in teams equally well; a clear communicator with excellent relationship management skills; and a leader dedicated to continuous learning about state-of-the-art fund raising techniques and practices.  A bachelor’s degree is required, along with at least 7 years’ experience in a professional fund raising staff role.  A Master's and CFRE designation is preferred.
