Leasing Consultant - Dwell Communities - Dwell at the View

As a Leasing Consultant you will partner with office and maintenance staff to build a culture of care across 100+ apartment units. Everyone who comes in the door? Make them feel cared for. Someone has a problem? You get to figure out how to solve it! New resident moving in? You will make sure their apartment is beautiful. You will have lots of freedom and responsibility to shape how your job gets done. It is imperative that you care about people and community in this role.

Reports to:Portfolio Manager & Director of Operations

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Culture:

  • Hold morning meetings with staff. Get them excited! Plan the day
  • Work with community coordinator to plan community events and serve our residents
  • Attend community events and build relationships with residents
  • Lead by example: treat people with dignity and respect. Make them feel special!
  • A sense of humor is a plus

Leasing/Renewals

  • Greet everyone who comes through the door. Be kind. Be thoughtful.
  • Give tours of community and apartment/model and apply product knowledge to clients’ needs by communicating the features and benefits and what makes our community special!
  • Have urgency and lease units!
  • Make sure unit looks awesome before you move someone in. Own that.
  • Help introduce the new residents to our community and the area.
  • Get people to renew! We want our people to stay. We can’t have community without retention.
  • Be professional, of course.

Administrative

  • Run daily property reports
  • Upkeep all tracking on management software/online systems
  • Manage vendors for apartment turns and maintenance issues
  • Enter bills for account payables and help with basic accounting and budgets

Qualifications

  • Be a problem solver. Get Creative. Be surprising.
  • Take ownership of the properties and processes.
  • You need transportation.
  • You need to be comfortable with technology and know how to use it. We are fully digital.
  • Prior experience a plus!
